How do I choose a dental clinic in Istanbul?+
Check that the clinic holds the International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate of the Turkish Ministry of Health, that you receive a written treatment plan and quote before you book flights, that you know which dentists will treat you and which implant and crown brands are used, what the written guarantees cover, and how aftercare works once you are home. DentX gives you all of this in writing after a free consultation.
Is DentX authorised to treat international patients?+
Yes. DentX clinics hold the International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate issued by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health. The certificates of all four clinics are shown at the bottom of every page of this site.

Will someone speak my language?+
You can write to DentX on WhatsApp in 8 languages, and local representatives in many European countries talk to you in your own language. In Istanbul, a personal coordinator stays with you, with translation support when you need it.

How much does dental treatment in Istanbul cost?+
The cost depends on your teeth, the treatment and the materials, so DentX does not publish fixed prices. After a free consultation you receive a written, personalised treatment plan and quote, with no obligation, before you book any travel.
How do I get a free consultation?+
By video call, at the DentX offices in Dortmund, Marseille and Valencia, through a local representative, or at the regular consultation days in cities across Europe (see Meet us in Europe). The consultation and the treatment plan are free.
What should I send to get a treatment plan?+
Photos of your smile and, if you have one, a recent panoramic X-ray. You can upload them in the form on this page or send them on WhatsApp. If anything else is needed, the dentist will tell you.
How many trips to Istanbul do I need?+
Veneers, crowns and Hollywood smile treatments take one trip. Dental implants take two trips: the implants are placed on the first visit, and after 3–6 months of healing at home, the permanent teeth are fitted on the second visit.
How long will I stay in Istanbul?+
A Hollywood smile, veneers or crowns usually take one stay of about 7–10 days, with several short sessions. For implants, each of the two stays is planned around your sessions. Your exact dates are in your written plan.

What is arranged for me in Istanbul?+

Can I see my new smile before treatment?+
Yes. With digital smile design, your new smile is planned on 3D scans and facial photos, and you approve the shape and shade with trial restorations before anything is bonded.
Is the treatment painful?+
Treatment is done under local anaesthesia, and most patients feel pressure rather than pain. For longer surgical procedures, sedation can be discussed with your dentist.
